<aside> <img src="/icons/rocket_purple.svg" alt="/icons/rocket_purple.svg" width="40px" /> Imagine if someone from 1750 saw our world today—they’d be shocked by airplanes, robots, smartphones, internet, and AI.
for context, the greatest innovations at 1700’s were… the fckng spinning wheel, steam engines and mechanical clocks… and now we do nanotechnology.
¯\(ツ)/¯
But if someone from 1500 visited 1750, they’d be surprised, but not to the point of complete disbelief. This difference is due to the rapid acceleration of technological progress over time.
Most likely, we’re going to see more difference between now 2025 and 2040, than between 1750 and today - which is hard even to imagine.
